Current Games

These games are currently maintained. We provide support for access, gameplay issues, browser compatibility and account or purchase-related questions where applicable.

Legacy PC Games / Archive

These are older KraiSoft Windows games from the classic PC era. Some may still run on modern Windows systems, but they are not actively maintained and compatibility can depend on your device, operating system, security settings and graphics drivers.

Downloads are provided as-is for legacy players and archive purposes. Before publishing a file, we check the installer and record its version, file size, checksum and review date.

Legacy Windows compatibility:
These games were designed for older Windows versions such as Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP. Some may work on newer Windows with compatibility settings, but they are not actively maintained and results may vary by device, OS version, security settings and graphics drivers.

Some games may trigger browser/Windows warning because the installer is old or unsigned.

Legacy FAQ answers

Will legacy Windows games work on Windows 10 or Windows 11?
Some older KraiSoft games may still run on modern Windows systems, but we cannot guarantee compatibility. Try Windows compatibility settings and make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
Why does Windows show a warning when I download or run an old installer?
Older installers may be unsigned or uncommon, so browsers or Windows security features can show warnings. We provide file details and checksums for legacy downloads where available, but players should still use normal caution.
Can I recover an old registration key?
We can try to help if historical purchase records are available, but very old orders may not be recoverable. Please include your name, email used for purchase, approximate date and game title.
Is the Xbox version of Alien Sky or Atomaders available for download?
No. The Xbox Live Arcade versions are shown for historical reference. The current downloads, where available, are legacy Windows versions.
Can I use legacy KraiSoft games commercially or redistribute them?
No. Downloads are for personal legacy use unless you have a separate written agreement with KraiSoft.

Legacy technical FAQ answers

While I am playing the Techno theme of Warkanoid I get to level 47, hit the last block and the game freezes. Is this the end of the game?

Definitely this isn't. Version 1.4 of Warkanoid and version 2.4 of 1st Go Warkanoid II: Total could face such an abnormal behavior on some computers due to a memory management problem. This bug was eliminated in version 1.4.1 so the preferred way is to download the latest version from our website. A faster way is to download a small patch program:

Click here if you are using Warkanoid v.1.4
or
Click here if you are using 1st Go Warkanoid II: Total v.2.4

After downloading and executing a patch installation file you should point to the folder where your copy of Warkanoid is installed (by default it points to a folder where Warkanoid installs itself by default).

Seemingly randomly, when playing 1st Go Warkanoid II, after several levels a message box appears saying "Range Check Error" with a red X at the left side and the game freezes. Also another instances while shooting gets the system frozen with the same pop up.

Version 2.0 of 1st Go Warkanoid II can display such message box due to incompatibility with some types of hardware. This bug was eliminated in the version 2.1 so the preferred way is to download the latest version from our website. A faster way is to download a small patch program:

Click here if you are using a WildLife Edition containing WildLife game theme only
or
Click here if you are using a Total Edition containing two game themes.

After downloading and executing a patch installation file you should point to the folder where your copy of 1st Go Warkanoid II is installed (by default it points to a folder where Warkanoid installs itself by default).

My copy of Warkanoid doesn't allow the paddle to be controlled by joystick. How do I get the joystick to work with Warkanoid?
Joystick support was not working properly with all kinds of game controllers in Warkanoid 1.1. It caused us to disable joystick support in the second release of Warkanoid and start rewriting it completely. Now it is done and all recent and upcoming releases (Warkanoid 1.3, 1st Go Warkanoid 2.2) has a full joystick support implemented. So, if your copy of Warkanoid doesn't allow the paddle to be controlled by joystick, just download and install the latest version of the game.
How does MegaShot work?
You can use MegaShot at any moment in the game any number of times. To perform a MegaShot choose a safe moment (when a ball isn't going to hit the paddle for some time), press the button chosen for MegaShot (Shift or right mouse button by default) and hold it for a while. Do you see the bright stripe that have started to grow at a right side of screen (in Techno theme) or five green apples that become red (in WildLife theme)? This is the MegaShot charge. When there's enough charge you can release the button - And MegaShot will sweep all on their way. But be careful! During the charge accumulation you can't move your paddle or let the ball hit it, cause else the MegaShot charge will just disappear. That's why you might choose the moment for the firing accurately.
When I'm installing 1st Go Warkanoid II and choose to receive information about new releases and product updates a blank email message is being sent from my computer to subscribe@kraisoft.com . What is it for? Is it legal?
The letter your computer have sent to our email address was a result to your decision to receive new KraiSoft releases and product updates information via our email newsletter. You left the corresponding checkbox checked indicating by this that you would like to subscribe. The subscription process in each our product is simplified by a way that you don't need any additional typing of your email address: Installer sends a blank message from your default email address with a subject "1st Go Warkanoid II: WildLife newsletter subscribe request" (as it is stated in the subject, this message is a request to subscribe you to our newsletter), so your address gets included to our email database that we use to send out information about updates and new releases. This is performed only one time during program installation and do not occur while playing the game. Of course we don't perform any illegal activity on email addresses from our subscribers database such as distributing it to any 3rd person. Any subscriber can unsubscribe from our newsletter by notifying us by email or by clicking the link at the bottom of any newsletter issue. The subscription method we use is a rather common practice and there's nothing illegal in it.
